“If you just communicate, you can get by. But if you communicate skillfully, you can work miracles.”
– Jim Rohn, author, speaker and entrepreneur

A graduate of East Carolina University with a Master’s of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Ms. Corey holds the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). As a school-based speech language pathologist, Ms. Corey serves children with communication-based disabilities that impact their educational and functional school performance. These students may have language, articulation (speech sound disorders), fluency (stuttering), and/or voice/resonance disorders. Ms. Corey addresses the communication needs of the students by utilizing evidence-based practices and implementing service delivery models tailored to the students’ ages and unique learning needs. Her therapeutic interventions are clinical in nature, ensuring that each approach is appropriate and effective. Her objective is to provide focused and effective therapy, helping students achieve their communication goals as quickly as possible, so they can transition out of speech therapy when they are equipped with the communication skills needed for long-term success.
